Daily News | Macron wins in France

We are at the beginning of another great week in global binary options trading this week and there are plenty of new and great opportunities waiting for you out there! Join us, as we take a look at the stories with the most prominent trading potential, starting with the euro. From Thursday to Friday, the euro jumped from $1.0968 to $1.0994. This uptick happened just as we were getting ready to see what the second round of French elections would bring. Opinion polls predicted that the 39-year-old former economy minister Emmanuel Macron would win against his far-right opponent, Marine Le Pen, in an election rife with election campaign scandals and upsets. Voter turnout was lower than it was expected to be, but Macron did win with a good margin. We will see what influence this will have after today’s day of trading, but let us look at the US dollar now. In the same period, the currency fell from 0.9116 to 0.9095. This came about as Canada threatened with retaliatory trade actions, which US Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross said were inappropriate. He continued by saying that a settlement that would be beneficial to both parties would be in the interest of everyone involved. We will see how these future negotiations will pan out, so stick with us!
